I met Nicola Dove, one of the most warm, caring and awesome photographers, when I was studying photography in London. I was assisting a friend of hers, Simon, and he introduced us when I popped into their office one afternoon. Nicola was sorting through some images for an exhibition called ‘Facade’, and I remember looking at one of them, and my eyes welling up with tears. Something in the way that she shoots, captures so much emotion and energy. I assisted her on a few shoots, one which took us to Japan in 2006, and we’ve remained good friends ever since. I feel incredibly blessed that I could photograph her and gorgeous hubby David, before little Tommy was born.
